Students must have paper, writing utensils, necessary textbooks, assignments, and binders when they come to class. We suggest that students carry a binder with their folders. Students must have their folders with them when they come to class. It is important that students come prepared daily to maximize their use of time.
1. Use the time of day you're most alert for studying, reserving downtime for chores and activities that demand less thought. 2. Study daily, if possible, and do not cram at the last minute. 3. Review class notes within 24 hours of the class to fill in missed words, clarify what you wrote, and organize your notes. 4. When preparing for a test, rotate the order in which you review your notes. 5. Create a quality study place, one that promotes alertness - do not study on the bed. Study at the same place each time and make sure it's free from distractions and interruptions - do not answer the phone!
