Q.  What is it?

A.   A competitive chemistry test sponsored by the Chemical Education Foundation, http://www.chemed.org/Challenge.htm

A.  Go to http://www.chemed.org/Downloads/Challenge/ChallStudyGuide(basic).pdf to download the study guide – all the questions are based on the information in that study guide.  Download a copy of the periodic table at http://www.chemed.org/Downloads/Challenge/PeriodicTablehandout.pdf

Q.  When’s the test?

A.  The test will be given in late January or early February, at your school.

Q.  Who wins?

A.   The top three scorers from each school advance to Regional Competition in March.  From there, you can advance to State and National levels.

Q.  What do I need to do?

A.  Let your teacher know you’re interested in taking the test, and then start studying!
