Space Camp

Space Camp is a unit in P.E. that integrates the concept of Space (outer space) with the physical movements.  There were 5 stations the children rotated to in Space Camp.  1) Rocket Launch - strength and coordination to stomp rocket off into outer space.  Students were trying to get their rocket to land in hula hoops as their targets.  2) Meteor Shower - students throw smaller balls at the larger planet to get it to roll across the other team's line.  3) Moon Boots - Students use foam stilts to walk around the moon.  4) Mars Mission - while balancing on the foam objects, students try to pick up Mars specimens and loop them around their wand.  5) Climbing to the Stars - students climb to their desired height on the cargo net.
