Michelle Hooks Stackpoole is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Speech/Communications and Theatre. She is currently working on her Master’s in the Art of Teaching at Marygrove College. At North she teaches acting, dance, public speaking and film lit. Ms. Stackpoole was a member of the Encore Dance Co. of Flint for many years and a private vocal student in Flint and at CMU. She has directed and choreographed Mousetrap, Oklahoma! Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding and Arsenic and Old Lace while at North. She has been in many productions herself, including the roles of Polly Baker in Crazy For You, Frenchy in Grease and Maria in West Side Story. Michelle was recently an audition finalist for Fox’s “American Idol” in Detroit and is currently working on pursuing a performance career in Detroit.
