PARENT RESOURCES
Hola Parents,
The purpose of this page, as well as the linked information pages, is to provide resources for parents of children with special learning needs mainstreamed into my 8th grade physical science classes. Each linked page will focus on a different topic, with how to obtain information on that topic from various resources. Many pages will start with the Grosse Pointe Public Schools Systems information, and then will follow with other organizations that support various approaches on meeting the unique needs of our diverse learners.
Below is a link to a parent handbook written by the Grosse Pointe Public Schools Department of Student Services and a letter of introduction from a local Parent Teacher Organization called the Partnership For Different Learners. The parent handbook (updated in 2002-2003) contains general information on the ERM and IEP process, terminology, etc. and if desired it can be downloaded: http://www.gpschools.org/ss/new_page_1.htm
