STUDENT AWARDS - 2004
Another year of recognition of
television…
This is a common phrase used in Los Angeles
during events like the Academy awards and the Golden Globes, but this phrase
continues to be in the same sentence as Grosse Pointe North and South TV
students. On May 2, 2004 Grosse Pointe Television students were represented
at the Detroit Area Film and Television (DAFT) Student Film and Video
Festival held at the Detroit Institute of Arts’ Film Theater. Grosse Pointe
TV students received awards for Excellence, Honor and Merit. The award for
Excellence was given to Theo M. and Trevor A. for Show Me How to Live Music
Video from South. Grosse Pointe Honor winners from South were: Jessica D.,
Sean R., JP W., Eric E., Justin M., Stefan H., Sasha S., James B., Tim M.,
and Andrew B. Merit Awards were received by Megan G., Matthew D. and James
C. In addition to the DAFT awards, Grosse Pointe South’s Sports Eric E.
received a first place distinction for his commentating skills from the
Michigan Association of Broadcasters. |
