WGPS NEWS PRODUCTION
The purpose of this page is
to provide a resource area for our Advanced Video Production students who
work on our WGPS News broadcast. Each day 1st or 2nd hours create a four minute production that is broadcasted to the
entire school community of 1700 students. Most productions include general
announcements, sports, and several different field productions.

Step One: The Script

Announcements and Events
This links provides daily information of the things going on
at Grosse Pointe South High School. The information is first emailed to our
South Announcements account and the script is updated daily.
The deadline for daily submissions is 7:50 AM.

Step Two:
The Objectives and Goals
Produce a daily 4 minute program in 49 minutes
Research and Revise Information
Broadcast to 1700 students and staff
Incorporate sports, weather, and field reports
Work as an effective team member

Step Three:
The Pre-Production Process
The crew will take the finished script and prepare the
graphics, step up the cameras, rehearse the announcements, setup the editing
station, and update the crew board daily.
