 | The
first grade drop off is the circle in the new parking lot. While we have
sufficient parking spaces, we discourage parents from parking and walking
because it compromises the safety of the students as they cross through the
cars in the lot. |
| Students are to exit the
vehicle on the right side and continue down the sidewalk to our line. |
| Please have children line up on
the appropriate yellow dot outside the Art Room door in the morning and wait
for the bell. Students should not be on the playground before
school!! |
| If by chance we are
experiencing inclement weather, a teacher will invite the students to line up
inside the building before school. |
| Students are dismissed at the
Art Room door, the same place where they line up (unless they are going to
Kid’s Club). Students are to meet their parents in the location
you discussed with them. Some parents walk to the Art Room door
to meet, some children walk home, whereas some walk around the building to the
circle. |
| The first grade teachers wait
on the porch outside the Art Room door until students are picked up.
There are also volunteer parents in orange vests stationed at the parking lot.
Students are instructed to notify an adult on duty or go to the office
if they do not see his or her parent. |
| Please plan ahead and be
prompt. The doors do lock once school begins.
