Steve graduated from the University of Michigan and is currently teaching AP Environmental Science and Environmental Science. In his spare time he loves Scuba Diving, Golf, Racquetball, traveling and sailing. |

This is my 7th year of teaching, my 2nd in GP. I have taught both middle school and high school science classes in the past, including Physics, Biology, Earth Science and Physical Science. I have a BS in Biology/Chemistry from Purdue University and an MAT in Secondary Science from Wayne State. |

Ardis graduated from the University of Michigan with a B. S. in Geology and from Eastern Michigan University with an M.S. in General Science. She is a Past-President of the Michigan Earth Science Teachers Association, club advisor of the RATs (Radio Astronomy Team) and Director of the Grosse Pointe Schools Planetarium. Her hobbies include music (drums and guitar), hiking, writing and amateur astronomy. |

Well known for his
"flameboyant" experiments, Mr. Moskaluk, the senior member of the
science department, has taught science in the Grosse Pointe School
System for over 35 years. You can view his latest demonstrations and
experiments at his

In 2003 Mr. Moskaluk went to Washington DC to receive the
2003 Presidential Scholars Teacher Recognition
Award . The award is based on the Presidential Scholar student
nomination in recognition of being an inspiring and challenging
teacher. |

Mrs. Pata - formerly Miss Jennings - is in her ninth year teaching at North. Five years ago she completed her Masters Degree in Multidisciplinary Science at Wayne State University. In addition, 7 years earlier, Miss Jennings completed her undergraduate degrees in teaching Unified Science and English, also at Wayne State. In addition to her rigorous undergraduate studies, she also played softball for the Lady Tartars (she's not too happy about the mascot change, so don't bring it up!). At North, she has taught Earth Science, Physics Chemistry and will be teaching Earth Science again this year along with AP Environmental Science! In addition to teaching her classes, Amanda will be an assistant coach for the varsity softball team at North. She looks forward to another busy and exciting year! |

Don is in his 10th year at Grosse Pointe North, teaching
Physics. He received both his undergraduate and masters degrees
from Wayne State University. Between his degrees, Don
spent a year with the Peace Corps teaching in Ghana, in

Rebecca is a ninth year teacher at North and in the
past has taught Biology, Honors Biology, Environmental Science, Cellular Biology and Genetics I
and II. When she's not at work, Rebecca is usually found in the dance studio preparing for a performance, in a coffee shop doing work (or finishing a crossword), snapping photographs, reading, writing and/or sketching while listening to some tunes and remembering WEIRD trivia. |
