Dear MATHCOUNTS parents and participants:

The MATHCOUNTS local competition will be held on Saturday, February 22^nd at 8:00 a.m. at the University of Michigan, Dearborn campus (please see attached map) in the Recreational and Organization Center. The competition and awards ceremony will end at approximately 12:30 p.m. There will not be a lunch served, although complementary refreshments will be provided. Eight students from Brownell will be allowed to compete. Participants will be chosen based on the number of MATHCOUNTS practices attended and the results of our school competition. Please let me know whether or not your child has your permission to attend the competition. I am also looking for parents who are willing to chaperone the team and provide transportation to the competition. Each student is responsible for arranging his/her own transportation to and from the competition, however, I will pass along names of parents willing to provide transportation. I will meet students at the registration table at 8 a.m., please be on time. If your child will be unable to attend the competition, please let me know as soon as possible (H- (313) 884-1013, email- Caroline.Scott@gpschools.org).
