6th Grade - Rotation in Industrial Technology

Work is done in class for most projects. The final self evaluation is written at home. It is due  the first day of class (Monday or Tuesday) during the last week of this rotation. it is to be word processed if possible. It is equal to one project grade.

 

 

Magnetic Levitation Project - This project takes approximately 2 to 3 weeks. Work is done in class. The project and worksheets were due Tuesday April 19th.

   

Spaghetti Tower Project takes 2 to 3 days and is done in teams of 3 students. The goal is to make a tower as tall as possible and that is the most efficient.

Each team is given limited supplies, 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 stick of hot-glue, and 6 inches of masking tape. The tower should support a ping-pong ball for at least 30 seconds. The efficiency is measured by the height of the structure in millimeters divided by the weight the structure in grams.
