Please Note: While we are attempting to develop the field trips noted in the course description, no guarantees can be absolute.
Parent Connection— drivers, serving as chaperones, fan-out calls, symposium organization and learning partners--you are the essential connection!
Student Population—multi-age elementary middle school, working together to build a learning community (spaces limited)
Schedule: Flexible due to field trips, Class sessions dates and times are tentatively planned.

basic field trip stuff, kayak/water safety, DC-9 simulator, EEG tests

Fees in Addition to the course:
Detroit Science Center about $10 each, Yankee AirForce Museum about $3, gasoline for transportation to each
field trip, a vehicle day permit for entrance into the Metro Park, and a fee for
parking at Detroit Science Center.
Preparing for Field Trips: dress, snacks,
sac lunches, drivers, bottled water, student behavior, permission slips, safety,
returning home
Staff Development Hours for Grosse Pointe teachers are available. This course exemplifies Learning Community Theory In Practice—Linking students' learning with community and business partnerships.
