Plants at Night

Ideas
Writing contains at least one complete event. For example, plants are busy storing the food that they make during the day. The food is stored in the roots and later used as energy for growth and reproduction. This food is produced during the daytime during a process called photosynthesis. Or, perhaps students write a story about "nocturnal" plants. This story may be about flowering plants that blossom only at night. The student may take you on a journey to the tropical rainforest or out into his/her backyard where flowers are in bloom. The student creates nighttime pollinators that feed on the nectar and transfer the pollen from one night-blooming plant to the next. The event described connects reasonable to plant science.

Organization
Writing contains a beginning, middle, and end.
