THE WORLD IS MADE OF...
All of the more than 100
elements known to exist have the same basic structural parts:
1) nucleus = central part of an atom composed of
positively charged protons and neutral (NO Charge) neutrons
2) energy levels /
electron clouds / energy shells = negatively charged electrons

The nucleus contains most of
the mass of the atom. The atomic number of an atom represents its
fingerprint = the number of protons. The number of electrons in
an atom matches the number of protons and determines how the atom
will bond with other atoms.
Will the atom share electrons in the bonds it forms?
Will the atom transfer the electrons when forming bonds?
