Roostertail Race Weekend 2001
This past summer several Advanced TV students from North and South were able to participate as crew members for a live concert at The Roostertail's Race Weekend 2001. During the three day shoot they gained experience in what it takes to use the Video Mobile Unit in a live situation. They used a three camera set up, with students rotating between positions of director and operating a camera on and off the stage.

Students not only gained experiance working on stage with a live band, but
they
also got the best seats in the house for a performance by Save
Ferris.
Soulcracker from VH1's Bands on the Run performed the third night. If
you look in
the background you can notice two TV Production students working the
cameras.
Here is TV Production alumni Matt M. getting some nice close ups of
the drummer of
Soulcracker. The big video screen shown on the left portion of the
picture showed a live
feed of everything on camera for the three nights.
