Television Production 1 introduces students to fundamental, technical, and creative aspects of television production, operation of equipment, camera and sound techniques, basic script writing, graphics, and a variety of programming possibilities.

Through reading, watching and analyzing films and television programs, students will gain a critical awareness and knowledge of the television medium. There will be many opportunities for students to learn by doing, inquiring, and discovering.

One of the first projects a TV1 student will be making is a music video with pictures.  Through this project they will learn how to work as a crew in the studio, with a student directing in the control room using the switcher.
