Here is a complete script taken from the January 23rd 2002 announcements. There are some things done to the script for when it goes onto the teleprompter, and for the next days announcements, which are all left in for you to see. The "(Talent 1 & 2)" next to stories is the cue to change who's speaking, and tells the director when to switch cameras.

Also,  in some stories we have the day of the week in brackets next to dates which is used to avoid confusion with announcements kept in for multiple days.  For example, if there is an announcement on Wednesday about the student union being closed on Thursday, it would look like this in the script

"The student union is closed tomorrow [Thur]"

That way, when the announcement is said again on Thursday, we will remember to change the wording to, "The student union is closed today [Thur]".  We have had mix ups in the past, and since using this technique we have not had any problems. Now that you understand some of the basics to our script writing, here is a complete script for you to look at.

And of course, the date is always at the top of the script  just incase the wrong file is loaded by accident.
