[Mr. Thies Home Page] [Classes]
GPPSS

The North Art Department offers a wide range of Art classes for you to choose from.  This year, I teach Drawing and Painting, Figure Drawing, and Computer Graphics.  All of these are considered advanced art classes. Concepts and Materials is the pre-requisite for these classes. Mrs. Forrest teaches Metals and Photography. Mr. Signorello teaches Photo and Concepts.

  • Computer Graphics I, II, III, & IV.
  • Our Computer Graphics Program predates many similar programs here in Michigan.  Our students will continue to learn how to use graphic programs in creative and inspiring ways.  We use Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter for much of the work.  We create animations and web pages as well.  Ask Mr. Thies about Computer Graphics!
    • Drawing and Painting I, II, III, IV, V, & VI.
  • Drawing and Painting will continue as it has in the past.  Students explore 2-D work in various media.  Acrylic, charcoal, ink, and pastel are just a few of the media that will be used.
    • Figure Drawing I, II, III, & IV.
  • These drawing students focus on the art of drawing people.  They study the human form and create art about the human figure.
